Mission Hills

Located on the bluff above Old Town, west of Hillcrest and overlooking Mission Valley and Presidio Park; Mission Hills is one of San Diego’s oldest and most desirable neighborhoods. The architecture is distinctive, reflecting Craftsman, Spanish and California Bungalow styles often built in the early 1900’s.

First subdivided in 1908, many of the homes were designed by premier architects. The homes range from small cottages to estate size homes set on winding tree lined streets. The topography of the area creates lots of interest with canyons and vistas over Point Loma, Mission Valley and beyond.

Home prices widely range as you will find serious fixers to extensively renovated estates with views and historical significance. Mission Hills is eclectic in home owners, home styles and price ranges.

If a neighborhood is what you are seeking, look no further. The business districts of Mission Hills feature quaint shops, restaurants, coffee shops, Presidio Park, Mission Hills Park (Pioneer Park), public tennis courts, Mission Hills Nursery dating back to 1910, and a public library.

In addition to public schools such as Grant (grades K-8), you also have private and parochial school choices such as St.Vincent de Paul School and Francis Parker.

Mission Hills is centrally located with a 10 minute drive to the beach, San Diego International Airport and points of interest in Balboa Park, Fashion Valley and Mission Valley. Great access to major San Diego freeways such as Interstate 5, Interstate 8 and Highway 163.
