There is a new community park now open to the public in Mission Hills – West Lewis Mini Park, affectionately referred to as Pocket Park! It is called “Pocket Park” because it is built on a small 1/3 acre overlook – just enough room for a few benches, decorative rocks and new plants. A great place to relax and gaze at the beautiful canyon view and watch the native wildlife.

Pocket Park is located at the intersection of Lewis and Falcon. The Mission Hills Town Council hopes to build two more similar parks in the near future. Watch the video courtesy of NBC 7 – San Diego below. Our very own Gina Barnes was in attendance at the ribbon cutting ceremony. Can you spot her?
